The Manager Finance will take ownership of financial management, compliance, and reporting for the projects. The role requires a quick, adaptive problem-solver who can provide oversight to day-to-day financial operations while also driving long-term systems improvement. The Finance Manager will work closely with program teams, leadership, and donors to ensure sound financial stewardship and transparent reporting.
Financial Oversight & Management
Oversee day-to-day financial operations for the Organization including payroll processing, staff reimbursements, bank reconciliation and fulfilling organizational tax obligations.
Oversee maintenance and update of QuickBooks for all entities, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely financial entries.
Grant, Donor & Invoicing Management
Lead grant financial management, including budget monitoring, donor reporting, and compliance with donor guidelines.
Prepare and submit accurate financial reports for donors and partners within deadlines.
Prepare and submit invoices to donors, and keep track of receivables, payments, and outstanding balances.
Develop financial projections for projects, working closely with program leads to align budgets with implementation plans.
Compliance & Audit
Ensure compliance with organizational financial policies and donor requirements across all three entities.
Support annual external audits, including preparation of required documentation, schedules, and reconciliations.
Help refine and update financial policies and procedures to align with international best practices.
Strategic Finance Support
Work with leadership to provide monthly financial dashboards, variance analyses, and cashflow projections.
Support multi-year financial planning and provide input into new project and grant proposals.
Recommend efficiencies and improvements to streamline financial processes across entities.
Required Qualifications
• Education
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional Certification (preferred): ACCA, CPA
• Experience
Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial management, preferably in the non-profit or development sector with exposure to grant management, donor reporting, and invoicing.
Experience managing finances across multi-country operations is a strong asset.
• Skills and Competencies
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced MS Excel skills.
