Medical Officer

About the Role

The Medical Doctor will provide basic primary healthcare services in the underserved communities. The role includes clinical service delivery, health education, referrals, and documentation, while supporting evidence-based community health program

Clinical Service Delivery

  • Provide basic outpatient medical consultations for adults and children.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with standard treatment guidelines and organizational protocols

Preventive & Community Health Services

  • Provide maternal, child, and adolescent health counseling as appropriate.

Referrals & Follow-Up

  • Identify cases requiring specialist care and ensure appropriate referrals to partner facilities.
  • Support follow-up of referred patients where feasible

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records, registers, and patient documentation.

Team & Program Support

  • Work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and community outreach activities.
  • Support research activities as required.

Required Qualifications

• Education

  • MBBS

• Experience

  • 0-2 years; preferably having completed a house job.

• Skills

  • Proficient in OPD management.
  • Strong diagnostic abilities and sound clinical decision-making skills.
  • Capable of handling medical emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
